Construction funding for bridge over Ob River in Novosibirsk to be doubled

Construction funding for a third bridge over the Ob River in Novosibirsk is planned to be doubled in 2011 over that of 2010. New investment will amount to 3.2 billion roubles. The third car bridge is a strategically important project for Novosibirsk, since the traffic load on already existing bridges exceeds 90%, and their traffic capacity can be completely used up by this year already. The mayor of Novosibirsk said that construction of the third bridge is on schedule. The project should be commissioned in the next 4 1/2 years. (RIA Novosti, 08/31/2010)
