Constructors of bridge to Russky Island completed a third of the giant 320-metre-tall towers

The giant tower on the Nazimov Peninsula rose to a height of 103.9 metres over the Eastern Bosphorus Strait. The height of the second tower, nestled in on Russky Island, is nearing the 100-metre mark. Meanwhile, bridge builders are continuing on other parts of the project. Deck construction and preparation works for the construction of two, 320-metre-long superstructure sections and the central part of the bridge are full steam ahead. Assemblies of stay cables have begun to be mounted. (ITAR TASS 09/29/2010)
